As the largest single-site early education center in Greater Hartford, we provide stimulating, high-quality learning experiences for preschool children in a vibrant, safe, state-of-the-art building. We’ve proudly earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.
As the largest single-site early education center in Greater Hartford, we provide stimulating, high-quality learning experiences for preschool children in a vibrant, safe, state-of-the-art building. INFANTS

We care for infants three to 17 months of age. Each child’s unique needs are addressed by a caring staff people with specialized training in child development.

TODDLERS

Our highly efficient curriculum guides our toddlers (ages 17 months to 3 years) through playful exploration while helping to establish key skills in these areas: social-emotional, physical, language and communication, cognition, mathematics, arts, science and social studies.

PRESCHOOL

Three, four, and five year-olds are encouraged to make choices, ask questions, explore, solve problems and be creative. At the same time, they learn to understand and respect for other children.

Women’s League’s STEAM Learning Coach featured in Teaching Young Children!

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the nation’s leading professional membership organization for the early childhood community, with nearly 60,000 individual members. All are committed to delivering on the promise of high-quality early learning. 

Women’s League STEAM Learning Lab Coach, Beulah Wiggins (“Ms. B”), was featured in a cover story in NAEYC’s 2025 winter issue on integrating equitable science, technology, engineering, and math learning into preschool and kindergarten.

Our New STEAM Learning Lab is Open!

The bright and colorful learning space on the second floor of Women’s League was designed with input from teachers, parents, and educational experts. The new learning lab houses a mini greenhouse, a wind tunnel, a magnetic gear wall, building materials, a conveyor belt, laptop computers, and a broad range of interactive learning materials designed for exploration and manipulation. WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING

Melinda Johnson, a mother of two children who attend Women’s League, spoke at the launch event for our new STEAM Lab. She said, “I’m elated that there’s a place in our community where my children can touch and explore and experience freely.”

OUR ALUMNI MAKE US PROUD

    • Denise Nappier, the first woman elected State Treasurer in Connecticut history; the first African American woman elected State Treasurer in the United States.
